Having the right Medicare coverage is a key part of your retirement plan—along with your overall health and wellness in retirement. Among the many factors to consider in your Medicare decision: health status, cost, coverage, amount of travel you plan to do, and access to existing or preferred doctors and hospitals.

Did you know that Medicare will only cover a portion of your medical bills?  You need to meet deductibles and co-insurance.  Original Medicare Part A will cover some hospital expense and Medicare Part B will cover some outpatient expenses, but it is important to have a Stop-Loss cap.  I can help with Part C, Medicare Advantage or Medicare supplements, which supplements Medicare parts A and B.  By adding a Medicare Advantage Plan or a Medicare Supplement plan, you can reduce your exposure to the high cost of health care!  I can also help with Part D, the Prescription Drug Coverage.

You’ve got questions – I can help.

As an independent licensed insurance agent, I can help you through the Medicare maze.  I am appointed with several companies to serve all of Colorado.

Know your options and choose the best plan for you.  Part C or Advantage plans, Supplements and drug plans are your choices to supplement Part A and B.  Which one works for you? Reduce your exposure to the high cost of health care with the right plan for you.  Set up an appointment up to 3 months before you turn 65!

Your Medicare Options

When you first enroll in Medicare and during certain times of the year, you can choose how you get your Medicare coverage.

There are 2 main ways to get Medicare.

Original Medicare

Original Medicare includes Medicare
Part A covering hospital insurance and
Part B covering doctor & outpatient visits
Government provided

Option 1

If you want drug coverage, you can join a separate Part D plan.

To help pay for out of pocket costs in Original Medicare (like your 20% coinsurance), you can also shop for and buy supplemental coverage.

  • Part A—Hospital
  • Part B—Doctor & Outpatient

You may add:

  • Part D — Drug Plan
  • Supplemental Coverage/Medigap

Offered by private companies

Option 2

Medicare Medicare Advantage is an “all in one” alternative to Original Medicare.  These bundled plans include Part A, Part B and usually Part D (drug plan).

In most cases, you’ll need to use doctors who are in the plan’s network.

  • Part A—Hospital
  • Part B —Doctor & Outpatient
  • Part D —Prescription Drugs

Offered by private companies
