Financial freedom means to me that I may do what I want with my time and be who I really am. Many of us, especially women lose site of this by putting others first and playing many different roles such as parent, spouse, employee, friend and more. Time is precious and I want to use it the way I want. I love to spend time with my family, travel, volunteer, keep learning and help women with their finances.
What is important to you?
Are you able to meet your financial obligations?
Do you have food and shelter?
Is your transportation reliable?
Some 795 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth. In 2013, 45.3 million people (14.5 percent) were in poverty in the United States.
You read of millionaires and stars that lose their money and live in poverty. Did money bring them joy?
If you are reading this newsletter, you are most likely not in poverty, but are you comfortable? What are the basics for your life and what would give you the time to do what you want?
Take a minute, close your eyes, and think of what you would be doing right now if money was no object.
What is the risk? Cost? Time?
One of the reasons I do the monthly calendar of fr/e/e events is to let you know you can have fun without spending a lot of money. Fun does not necessarily equate to the amount spent. There are over 140 events I found in July that are $0. I am sure there are even more.
Take your head out of the sand and take your financial future into your own hands. If you don’t know where to start, I can help you know your options and make choices correct for you. $0 cost
